Winter is here and the snow is currently falling while we put together this winter trend report! While most of us aren’t huge fans of the cold weather, we do love the subtle shifts in trends and style as the seasons change. This year we’re seeing a lot of fun trends come into their own as winter starts and we want to give you the exclusive first look at what you will be seeing in the coming months.
Blazers. These are no longer exclusive to the workplace and we love that they are making such a strong statement in the every-day enviornment. We are seeing blazers paired with silk dresses, cozy matching sets, and your basic graphic t-shirt and jeans outfit. The possibilities with a blazer are endless because it adds a touch of sophistication to every outfit while giving it a super cool and chic vibe.
Boyfriend Cardigans. With the longer length and slightly oversized fit, a boyfriend cardigan is just what’s missing from your closet. They are slim through the body, but have a longer length which gives you more layers to play with. They are so flattering and the perfect companion to wear over a more fitted top or tee. A boyfriend cardigan goes great with jeans + tees, skirts, and dresses!
Sweater Vest. If you’re still questioning the sweater vest trend, we promise that if you just try it that you’ll be hooked. We love changing the style of a patterned blouse or summery dress by adding an adorable sweater vest on top. When choosing one, stick to your style so that you are more apt to reach for it in your closet. Are you more of an oversized style girl or do you like things slim and fitted? There are vest styles for both and it’s important to pick one that’s on trend with you so that you will be ready to rock it.
Ribbed Material. Ribbed material is the best material and we LOVE that it’s become such a staple in the styles we’re seeing this winter. It’s such an easy way to spruce up a basic top by adding a little texture and lots of stretch. Whether you get a ribbed bodysuit or ribbed leggings, we promise you’ll love them. Most of the time they are stretchy and comfortable while also being exquisite and stylish.
Plaid/Houndstooth Pattern. When it comes to a pattern, plaid and houndstooth are everywhere this fall. Plaid has always been a top contender, but houndstooth is making its way back up to the top.
