This unique Capiz Wall Clock with Blue Flowers will be a conversation starter from the moment you hang it on the wall. The clock is created by compressing natural capiz shells together and forming it into a plate-like shape. The final result is light-weight and feels similar to plastic. Due to it being a natural material, the organic colors of the capiz may come through as tans and browns underneath the hand-painted surface. Capiz is the name for the shell of the windowpane oyster. Harvested primarily for food, the oyster also provides artisans with its strong, semi-translucent shell which has become a favorite for a variety of craft projects. This clock features intricately designed blue roses which are hand-painted along the outer rim. Bold roman numerals are evenly spaced to complement the strong floral design.
